Spire Elland Hospital is pleased to announce that it is now the region’s only private hospital to be recognised as an “Endometriosis Centre” for the management of advanced endometriosis by BSGE (British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy).
Only a handful of practices in the country have gained this status.
Our service is led by Consultant Minimal-access Gynaecologist, Mr Ashwini Trehan who offers radical excision of endometriosis.
Excision treatment can help cure/improve pain and at the same time avoid the need for hysterectomy and/or removal of ovaries and improve the chances for those who are trying for pregnancy.
In spite of operating on patients with very complex and complicated problems the overall risks of suffering a complication is minuscule.
