Dr Drummond obtained his medical degree from University of Glasgow in 1992. His haematology training was undertaken in Scotland and New Zealand. He obtained a PhD (in Chronic Leukaemia) in 2004 and became a Consultant in 2006. He is now based at the Beatson Cancer centre in Glasgow.
Dr Drummond is experienced in the management of all haematological conditions with a particular interest in Myeloproliferative disorders and Myelodysplasia.
Dr Drummond is currently Lead Clinician for Blood Cancers in the West of Scotland and leads on a number of UK and International Clinical Trials. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications, including two textbooks of Haematological diagnosis.
