Scottish rugby star, Richie Gray is injured

Richie Gray was part of the Scottish Rugby team playing against Wales on Saturday, competing for the 6 Nations cup. The 23-year-old was playing a magnificant game before suffering a debilitating injury to his hamstring during a tackle against one of his Welsh counterparts.

Scotland team Doctor, James Robson said, 'Richie is due to be scanned at Spire Murrayfield hospital with a view to a more accurate assessment of the injury he sustained on Saturday."

Unfortunately, he will now definitely miss Scotland's Six Nations finale in Paris on Saturday and could be a doubt for the Lions tour. Sale star Gray was expected to be one of the leading Scottish contenders to join the Lion's team squad which will tour Australia later this year. Dr James Robson added, "It would be premature to speculate further at the moment. With the expert assistance of Spire we'll have a better understanding then of the degree of injury to the muscle."

All at Spire Edinburgh hospitals wish Richie a speedy recovery.
