Beechwood House gets makeover

Spire Murrayfield Hospital is currently undergoing significant renovations to the oldest hospital building on its site at Corstorphine Hill. Beechwood House has seen nearly 30 years of patients visiting the hospital for treatments ranging from cosmetic surgery to hip replacement. Much of the existing traditional décor has been in place since the mid 1980’s so is being updated to provide patients with a more contemporary feel, with the same standards of clinical excellence.

Hospital Director, Andrew Eadsforth said, ‘Spire Murrayfield Hospital has a 30 year heritage in the city and over the years has fostered a special relationship with a great number of the city’s residents. The 1.5m refurbishment will restore this important part of Spire Murrayfield Hospital to its former glory, with state of the art consulting and treatment rooms.’Beechwood House is a Category A listed building, which means it has been classified as ‘of national importance and significance.’
