BAFTA award for IVF Scotland advert producer

Ainslie Henderson, the animator responsible for IVF Scotland’s recent TV advert has scooped a BAFTA award.

Along with film-maker Will Anderson, the two animators received the coveted award for their film, Longbird. Their film is a fake documentary mixing live action and animation which tells the story of a has-been Russian cartoon bird trying to make a comeback.

On collecting the award, Ainslie Henderson, said: “I just want to say thanks to you, Will, for this mad journey we’re on and I want to say happy birthday to my mum.”

The British BAFTA follows a win for Best Animation at the Scottish BAFTA’s in the November last year. Mr Henderson, who only began the model-making that led him into animation four years ago, also won a Scottish BAFTA New Talent Award for his film ‘It’s About Spending Time Together’. Since then, he has worked on numerous projects with Spire Healthcare, most recently producing an advert for their fertility unit, IVF Scotland. He is currently collaborating on an advert for Spire Edinburgh hospitals patient information events. Well done Ainslie, we wish you all the best in the future.
