Dr Richard Armstrong is a consultant neurologist at Spire Dunedin, Royal Berkshire and Oxford University Hospitals. He is also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Neurology at Oxford University.
His medical training took place at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford, and included a PhD studying experimental treatments for Huntington’s and Parkinson’s Diseases. He undertook his general professional training in London and Australia and his Specialist Neurology training in Oxford and the National Hospital for Neurology, London.
Dr Armstrong sees patients with all general neurological problems and has special interest in epilepsy, headache and cognitive problems. He is the clinical lead for epilepsy in Berkshire, jointly runs the regional Huntington’s Disease service and maintains an active research interest. He also runs the undergraduate Neurology teaching program in Oxford.
