Karthik Ramasamy undertook his general medical training at Nottingham followed by early haematology training at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He subsequently moved to London in 2002 and undertook a comprehensive haematology training programme encompassing all subspecialties of haematology, including bone marrow transplantation at Kings College Hospital. Following this he completed three years as clinical research fellow at Kings College London in cancer studies. He now works across both Royal Berkshire and Oxford University Hospital NHS trusts in the field of haematology. He is the myeloma lead for Thames Valley Cancer network. He is a Chief Investigator of UK multicentre trials and has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles and written chapters in haemato oncology textbooks.
