Medico-legal work

  • Dr. Davies can perform medico-legal reports if instructed by a legal party. Cases may be rejected if they are outside Dr Davies’ area of expertise or inadequate information is provided.

    The following fees will apply to medico-legal work:

    Standard Medical Report - £250 per hour
    Applies to time spent examining and reviewing medical records, interview and examination of client.  Does not include cost of any X-rays, or other investigations which may incur additional costs from another party

    Any preparation and/or correspondence by letter will be based on the hourly rate, minimum fee being £100.

    Examination of medical records and/or X-rays - £250 per hour

    Court attendance per day, or part thereof £1,500
    This fee is payable regardless of whether actually called into Court, and therefore specifically includes time spent waiting outside Court.

    All fees exclude VAT which will be added to invoice when appropriate according to current rate - VAT Registration No. 993 8521 70

    Fees payable within 6 months of invoices in all cases.

Cancellations

Cancellation fee for Court attendance
Due to the notification period required for NHS work to be cancelled and/or rescheduled the following fees apply:

  • Cancellation between 4 and 8 weeks beforehand 50% of fee is payable
  • Cancellation between 4 and 2 weeks beforehand 75% of fee is payable
  • Cancellation within 2 weeks beforehand 100% of fee is payable
