    Mr Galland qualified at Manchester University and his surgical training was mainly at Hammersmith Hospital, London, University of Louisville, Kentucky and Reading. In 2004/5 Mr Galland was a Hunterian Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

    His clinical work covers general surgery with a special interest in vascular surgery. This covers strokes, ulcers, varicose veins, ischaemic legs and sweaty hands. Bob has written numerous clinical articles and contributed to medical and surgical textbooks.

    In addition to his Vascular work, Bob's other clinical interests include hernia repairs (in adults and children) and gall bladder surgery.
