Mr Coull qualified in 1995 from the University of London and undertook his surgical training in the South-West Thames region. He completed his training with a much sought after Laparoscopic (keyhole) Surgery Fellowship in colorectal and general surgery and is now on the teaching faculty to train other consultants in laparoscopic surgery at European surgical institutions in Paris, Hamburg and the UK.

He has been appointed as a consultant surgeon at the Royal Berkshire Hospital to inititate the provision of laparoscopic hernia and colorectal surgery there. Additionally, he has been awardded a Masters degree for research into Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

His clinical interests are the treatment of rectal bleeding including haemorrhoids and performing laparoscopic and open surgery for hernias, colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and gall stones.
