Mohgah Elsheikh joined the Royal Berkshire Hospital in August 2001 as consultant physician with special interest in endocrinology and diabetes. Her interest in diabetes and endocrinology began with a registrar post in general medicine, diabetes and endocrinology at King's College Hospital in London. Since then she has continued her work in this field spending time both in London and Oxford. Her special clinical interests include the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), hormone replacement therapy, pituitary and thyroid disorders. She was responsible, in conjunction with the gynaecologists, for setting up PCOS, premature ovarian failure and Turner's Syndrome clinics at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and is interested in developing similar services at the Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospitals. She has published several papers in the field of endocrinology, her main research interests being reproductive endocrinology. She currently runs diabetes and endocrinology clinics at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
