Dr Jonathan Booth studied medicine at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London. He completed gastroenterology training at St Thomas’s Hospital in London as a registrar before conducting 3 years in research into liver disease at St Mary’s Hospital. He was then appointed senior registrar at St Mary’s Hospital and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital where he completed further training in interventional endoscopy. At the end of training he spent 5 months as a post graduate fellow at the Amsterdam Medical Centre pursuing his interest in interventional endoscopy. He was then appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist in 1999.
