April 2010
There was a rare sight on the 21st April at Madjeski Stadium in Reading where all the Royal Berkshire Cardiologists were present in the same room together, and all presented to an audience of 65 Berkshire GP’s.
The event was held as part of the GP’s education requirements, and allowed them to quiz the consultants, who form the Berkshire Heart Clinic at Spire Dunedin Hospital, on all things Cardiology related. Included was an ECG workshop where the GP’s got to participate and diagnose patient case studies ECG’s.
The Berkshire Heart Clinic, Reading, consultants, Dr Tony Chow, Dr Jon Swinburn, Dr Charlie McKenna, Dr William Orr, Dr Nicos Spyrou and Dr Andrew Elkington were all received well by the audience, and had an enjoyable afternoon.
The Cardiologists are due to speak at numerous more venues over the coming months, all aiming to promote the awareness of cardiac conditions, and the best treatment and prevention methods.
