As February is National Heart Month Spire Dunedin Hospital are joining forces with their Cardiology department and are aiming to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
Spire Dunedin hold the largest private Cardiology team in Reading and with their support and expertise are raising awareness for common heart conditions, and help to support The British Heart Foundation.
Friday 26th February is National Wear Red day and Dunedin Hospital will be getting involved with all staff members wearing something red and donating money to the charity. Along with holding a bake sale (all home made by Dunedin staff) and a quiz, Spire Dunedin are selling BHF badges in all 3 of receptions throughout the month.
The Cardiology team, comprising of Dr Andrew Elkington, Dr John Bell, Dr Tony Chow, Dr Charlie McKenna, Dr William Orr, Dr Nicos Spyrou and Dr Jon Swinburn will be presenting at various venues throughout the year raising awareness of common heart conditions, early detection of them, as well as updates on the latest technology.
