Hand Therapy

  • Mr Rahimtoola has a specialist hand therapist who works along side him, offering physiotherapy and splinting services.

Therapy is an essential, but often ignored, part of the recovery from hand surgery.

This involves 1:1 sessions within a special hand therapy clinic or the physiotherapy department, ensuring that all post-surgical hand procedures and hand injuries have a comprehensive follow-up in order to regain maximum function.

    Treatment involves:

    • Wound assessment
    • Splintage
    • Advice and education
    • Specific exercise programmes
    • Mobilisation of joints and soft tissues
    • Electrotherapy
    • Acupuncture
