Professional Profile: Kerri completed her BSc(Honours) in Physiotherapy at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2000. Following that she worked for a year in South Africa at a private hospital where she treated both adults and children who were in patients and musculoskeletal out-patients. In January 2002 Kerri relocated to the UK where she worked as a locum in the NHS at various hospitals throughout the country and in May 2004 Kerri started working at Dunedin Hospital as a Senior Physiotherapist. During her time at Dunedin Kerri has developed a special interest in treating women who have had surgery for breast cancer. She also has a keen interest in upper limb conditions and provides the hand therapy for our local hand surgeon whom she works closely with. She is qualified in acupuncture. |
