After graduating from Guy's Medical School in 1983, Sukhpal Singh began his specialist training in General Surgery in London and the south east of England.Gaining FRCS (Ed) in 1987 and FRCS (Eng) in 1988, he went on to gain a Master of Surgery degree with the University of London in 1993; his theis being 'Investigating host defences in obstructive jaundice'. He later gained FRCS (General Surgery) in 1995. Mr Singh has been awarded the following:Certificate of Accreditation of the Royal College of Surgeons of England -1996Certificate of Completion Specialist Training - 1997Research Grant Award - 1989World HPB Congress Prize - 1990MS Thesis Rogers prize Finalist - 1993Ethicon Travelling Fellowship - 1994BJS Society Travelling Fellowship - 1994CME Award (RCS Edinburgh) - 1994Laparoscopic Surgical Fellowship - 1995Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland Prize - 1995He is a member of the Raven Department of Education of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.Mr Singh is hard working and patient focussed. He is dynamic, motivated, progressive and is not adverse to change with an approachable and outgoing personality. He has an ambition to develop and embrace new technology new technology and techniques to enhance patient focussed care. He facilitates and promotes multi disciplinary team working.
Mr Singh is social and is family orientated. He enjoys activity holidays including trekking, snowboarding and scuba diving.
