Professional profile:
After graduating from Guy's Medical School in 1983, Sukhpal Singh began his specialist training in General Surgery in London and the south east of England.

Gaining FRCS (Ed) in 1987 and FRCS (Eng) in 1988, he went on to gain a Master of Surgery degree with the University of London in 1993; his theis being 'Investigating host defences in obstructive jaundice'. He later gained FRCS (General Surgery) in 1995.
