Mr Thomas graduated from Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School in 1991. He trained in orthopaedic surgery via North West Thames rotation and undertook a fellowship in spinal surgery and trauma in Toronto, Canada. He was appointed as a consultant at Frimley Park Hospital in 2002 and is now the Clinical Director of Orthopaedics at Frimley Park Hospital. Mr Thomas is involved in developing and expanding spinal services in the area. Mr Thomas is a fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association and Royal Society of Medicine and a member of the British Association of Spinal Surgeons and the Spine Society of Europe.

Mark Thomas was born in London and grew up in Hampshire. He is married to Alison, a local GP, and has two young children and continues to live locally. He is keen on sports, especially cycling and swimming.
