Mr Perry was born in Surrey and educated in St John's School, Leatherhead. He qualified in 1992 from Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School in London. His Orthopaedic training was based around the south-west of London, the Hand Unit at Queen Mary's Roehampton and a year in Sydney, Australia developing his specialist interests of hip and knee surgery, including hip replacement, resurfacing and revision surgery, knee replacement, unicompartmental surgery, arthroscopic knee surgery, ligament reconstruction & sports injuries.

Mr Perry took up Consultant post at Frimley Park Hospital in July 2004.
