Henry trained at Charing Cross & Westminster medical school, Intercalated BSc in History of Medicine at UCH. He completed his basic surgical training at Frimley Park Hospital, Specialist Registrar in the South West Thames region.
His initial training was in Laparoscopic and Upper GI surgery, spending 6 months in the oesophago-gastric unit at St Thomas’ Hospital. He developed sub-specialty interest in colorectal surgery during 2 years of research at the Mattu unit in Guildford.
His last year of training was in Adelaide, Australia, working in a specialist colorectal unit, before taking up a consultant post at Frimley Park Hospital.
Specialist interests based around laparoscopic and colorectal surgery; further interests include pelvic floor disorders and faecal incontinence. Henry has taught on laparoscopic courses at Frimley Park, Mattu Guildford and in Hamburg.
Henry is married to Fiona who is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon. They have a 3 year old son, Thomas. Henry's interests include sport, music, mountain-biking, kitesurfing, reading, golf, squash and bridge.
