I qualified in 1998 from University College London after gaining many undergraduate prizes and a 1st Class Honours BSc degree. I trained in cardiology at Guys and St. Thomas' Hospitals and SE England with valuable experience gained in cardiomyopathy during a period of research at The Heart Hospital, UCL.

I completed my training in 2010 working as a consultant cardiologist in East Sussex before relocating to Frimley Park Hospital where my husband works as an orthopaedic consultant surgeon. However, I maintain strong links with East Sussex as a member of Eastbourne, Seaford and Hailsham Clinical Commissioning Group.

I am a well rounded cardiologist who has dual accreditation with General Internal Medicine. I have a genuine focus on providing care which is tailored to each individual patient and recognise that the joy of my job is that no two consultations are ever the same!. I have special interest in echocardiography including the non invasive assessment of chest pain, heart valve disease and heart failure including familial cardiomyopathy and cardiomyopathy associated with systemic disease.

I grew up in Surrey, leaving to go to University in London where I met my husband, Seb Sturridge. Seb and I trained for more than 20 years before returning to Surrey together as consultants in orthopaedics and cardiology respectively. We try and spend any free time not talking about bones and hearts(!) with our boys keeping them active rambling in the Surrey countryside.
