Gill qualified in 1983 and for the following three years, she worked in Manchester and at Queen Mary's, Roehampton. She gained general junior experience with both inpatients and outpatients, and received good grounding on the 'Maitland approach'.
Gill then moved on to focus on outpatient musculoskeletal work. She completed part A and B of McKenzie (cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine). She took an interest in lower limb problems, working with a podiatrist assessing gait and foot problems. Gill later developed an interest in facial palsy.
Since 2004, Gill has worked full time as an outpatient physiotherapist at Spire Clare Park Hospital, Farnham, on the border of Surrey and Hampshire. She treats a range of conditions, with a special interest in foot and ankle. Gill is a qualified Pilate's instructor.
