Mr Alastair Davidson spent most of his postgraduate training at London Teaching Hospitals as part of the Bart's SHO and Registrar training programs. He carried out a fellowship in Sydney, and his final Registrar year on the Joint Reconstruction unit at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.
Mr Davidson has trained under numerous world renowned Orthopaedic Surgeons such as Professor Bentley, Professor Cobb, Stephen Cannon, Tim Briggs, Sarah Muirhead-Allwood, John Skinner and Paul Stalley.
Following his training, Mr Davidson was a locum consultant at the RNOH Stanmore and subsequently Imperial College Hospitals, London, before being appointed at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey.
Mr Davidson specialises in all aspects of Hip and Knee surgery and was a member of the national MRC ACTIVE trial in cartilage resurfacing. He has been published and presented both nationally and internationally.
Mr Davidson is a travelling fellow of the BOA, and has taught on RNOH Stanmore and Imperial College courses, as well as acting as an examiner.
