I have had nasal problems for years, In the past the doctors have prescribed nasal sprays which did not work. So after a couple of years of disturbed sleep due to the mucus running down the back of my throat I decided to see my GP to get a referral to an ENT specialist.

Mr W, ENT patient at Spire Cheshire
I chose to be seen at Spire Cheshire because of its great location, I had not been to the hospital before but it was very easy to find.
I was referred to Mr Krishna Reddy, Consultant ENT Surgeon and at my first consultation he examined me and to my amazement he said my nose was completely blocked and that I would need to have a CAT scan to confirm the diagnosis. Sure enough the scan confirmed Mr Reddy’s diagnosis, so an operation date was arranged so that he could remove the blockage and clean out my sinuses.
Prior to the operation I received lots of patient information and leaflets and on arrival at the hospital I was met by a greeter who showed me my room. The room was excellent, I had my own en-suite bathroom and it was bright and very clean.
The nurses and Mr Reddy also came into the room to see me and soon after I went to theatre. When I woke up from the operation I was surprised to see that I was in no pain. I was taken back to the ward and monitored; unfortunately I did have a nose bleed for a couple of hours but still no pain. I was in the hospital overnight and left the following morning.
I was given tablets and sprays to take home and advice to aid recovery and a sick note. I visited Mr Reddy for a follow up appointment 6 weeks after the operation, by this time everything had healed and I felt that I could breath properly again so I was discharged.
I would suggest to anyone with the same problems to have the operation ideally in Spire Cheshire Hospital. The staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble and the standard of the food was fantastic.
