I was then referred to Spire Cheshire Hospital to see Mr Krishna Reddy, Consultant ENT Surgeon. At the consultation I explained to Mr Reddy that I was due to fly back to Spain in a couple of weeks so he promptly booked me in to have a grommet fitted into my ear drum, this would relieve any pressure build up in my ear whilst flying. If I did not have this procedure I would have to cancel my holiday for several months.
On the day of my procedure I arrived at Spire Cheshire Hospital with my husband and I was made to feel very welcome. I was given a menu to choose my lunch and drinks for the day and then shown to my private room, with a television, which was clean bright and comfortable.
Mr Reddy and the anaesthetist came to see me prior to having the procedure and they were both very reassuring which made me feel calm and relaxed. The treatment I was given throughout my stay by the nurses and staff was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and they were all very caring.
After the procedure I came back to see Mr Reddy for my follow up appointment. He said that the procedure had gone well and my hearing should return to normal in a few months
