Physiotherapy treatments and services

At Spire Cheshire Hospital, our expert physiotherapy team comprises of nine team members, all of whom are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

We offer a wide range of specialist treatments and services covering rehabilitation, sports injuries, vestibular, shockwave, manual therapy and electrotherapy.

Acupuncture

  • Acupuncture involves the application of needles at specific points on the body to alleviate pain and muscle spasm”.

Sports and exercise physiotherapy

  • Initial assessment and treatment with senior physiotherapists experienced in sports injuries
  • Physiotherapy facilities including access to shockwave therapy, muscle strength testing using a dynamometer and a fully equipped rehabilitation gym
  • Access to consultants, who are specialists in their areas and have extensive clinical experience in managing injuries

  • Foot and ankle injuries: Achilles tendinopathy, ankle sprain, plantar fasciitis, mid-foot sprain, metatarsal pain, shin splints

Vestibular physiotherapy service

At Spire Cheshire Hospital we understand symptoms of dizziness, vertigo or loss of balance may significantly affect your day-to-day life. Our vestibular physiotherapy service offers high standards of care and attention which are reflected in the expertise and treatment provided by our specialist physiotherapists.

We offer diagnosis of BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) and treatment with Epley manoeuvre.

Assessment and treatment

Our specialist vestibular physiotherapy service aims to improve your symptoms, helping to restore your confidence and return you to your day-to-day activities.

We offer treatment for a wide range of conditions relating to dizziness and balance disorders. Typically conditions can be improved with appropriate treatment and rehabilitation, which may include specific rehabilitation techniques, exercises and balance training.

We offer a flexible range of convenient appointments from early morning to late evening.

We do not limit your initial appointment to 30 minutes. The initial appointment will be for as long as the physiotherapist feels necessary.
