Gallbladder removal: what to expect at Spire Cheshire Hospital
You’ll be booked in for a consultation where the team can make examinations and determine the best way forward.
You’ll then need to come back on an arranged date, when you’ll be shown to your private room. You’ll be placed under anaesthetic when ready, and the procedure should take no more than a few hours at most.
If you’ve had keyhole surgery that requires only small incisions, you may be able to leave the hospital the same day. While open surgery is slightly more invasive and requires a few days stay in the hospital. Either way, the team will take excellent care of you throughout.
