Spire Cheshire Hospital first opened in 1988 to offer high levels of medical and surgical treatment and personal care. In 2003 we invested almost £4 million in a building development and refurbishment project enabling us to enhance and expand our services. In 2008 as demand to be treated in our hospital continued to grow, we invested a further £2.5 million in building a fixed site MRI scanner to complement our existing services for patients. The 1.5T Siemens Magnetom Avanto scanner is the latest of its kind, with patient comfort being key. The innovative design makes it easier for patients to get on and off, it enables feet first examinations for the majority of procedures and it supports up to 200kg (400lbs) without restrictions.
In 2007 the hospital won the National Customer Service Awards for Management Team of the Year.
The hospital is situated close to the Cheshire countryside, but within easy reach of the motorway networks – it is just off junction 10 of the M56 with Manchester and Liverpool airports only 30 minutes away.
