Professional profile:

I qualified from Tehran University in 1973. I worked at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London, Manchester Eye Hospital, Moorfield's Eye Hospital and Royal Free Hospital, London, before becoming a consultant ophthalmologist at Warrington in 1986. My main interest is anterior segment diseases of the eye. I have received specialist training at Moorfields, in management of external diseases of the eye. I have published on this subject and on cataract and glaucoma surgery. My research interest at present is on safety and efficacy of non perforating trabeculectomy (viscocanalostomy). This new operation has faster recovery and more comfortable post operative period for patient. I have presented the result of this study on various national and international meetings.
