I trained as a general surgeon with particular emphasis on breast, endocrine, open hernia and gallbladder surgery for 13 years to achieve consultant status in my home country before relocating to the UK for further training in the year 2000.
I spent over 7 years in training in the Mersey region achieving proficiency in General Surgery including laparoscopic cholecystectomies and the last three years of my training were at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital to develop sub-specialist skills in breast and endocrine surgery.
Although I have a wide-ranging and extensive experience in general surgery, my main interests are to provide a resectional and oncoplastic breast surgery service. I perform image guided surgery as a part of breast screening. I am trained in sentinel lymph node biopsies for staging breast cancer. I can offer primary and secondary breast reconstruction as well as symmetrization surgery.  I also perform thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
I have a keen interest in surgical training and have been a member of faculty on all the major surgical and examination preparatory courses held in the region for the Royal College of Surgeons.

I live in Warrington with my wife and two sons. I enjoy walks in the hills in the Lake District and North Wales (nostalgia from my 11 years as an officer in the army).  I swim and play squash regularly and  listen to jazz on the way.
