I have over 25 years experience in Histopathology and Cytopathology. Training posts have included Lecturer at Baghdad University Teaching Hospital, Registrar at Nottingham Queen's Medical Centre and Senior Registrar at Mersey RHA. I have acquired considerable experience in most aspects of the speciality and have gained MSc in Pathology in 1977 and membership of the Royal College of Pathologists in 1983. I was then appointed Consultant Histopatholoigst for Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I took the lead in setting up and developing pathology services including the cervical screening programe and breast cancer screening. I have been Clinical Director of pathology at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 1988.

Personal profile:

I enjoy walking, playing squash and tennis. My favourite type of holiday is skiing (once or twice a year!)
