I qualified at Kings College Hospital, University of London in June 1970. I was a consultant physician and gastroenterologist at Warrington and Halton NHS Hospitals from 1981 until April 2007 when I retired to concentrate on my private practice.

At Spire Cheshire Hospital I see mainly gastroenterological cases but my work also includes some general medical patients. My main out-patient clinics are 2.00pm-6.00pm on Mondays and 1.30 to 6.00 pm on Thursdays. I have a regular endoscopy list on Mondays. Emergencies can be seen by request outside these times.

I am fully accredited with the Joint Committee in Higher Medical Training in General (Internal) medicine and Gastroenterology after broad training in London, Southampton, Portsmouth, Liverpool and Manchester. I am experienced in all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology and endoscopy. I am also an accredited trainer in gastroenterology and endoscopy for the Royal College of Physicians of London and am also an Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians. I was also a past Educational Director for General Internal Medicine for Mersey Deanery.

I have lived in the Warrington area since my appointment as consultant 1981. I am married with two daughters. I enjoy my work but in available free time I like sailing, walking, motor sport, theatre trips, wining and dining.
