I have written more than 50 papers / abstracts on diabetes, hyperparathyroidism and endocrinology including endocrine myopathies, on which my MD thesis was based.

I trained at the Royal London Hospital and worked at Charing Cross, Chelsea and Westminster and St Georges Tooting. I spent two years as Asst. Professor in endocrinology at Shiraz University, Iran where I saw tropical and infectious disease.

I returned to the UK as Lecturer / Honorary Senior Registrar at University College, London to the Professor of Medicine at the Metabolic unit as well as at the Whittington Hospital in Diabetes and Endocrinology. I was appointed Consultant Physician at Halton General Hospital in 1985 ( now North Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust) setting up the diabetes and endocrine services, retiring recently in 2009. I have worked at Spire Cheshire Hospital since it opened.

I am interested in all aspects of endocrinology, diabetes, general medicine and metabolic disorders.

I will attempt to unravel and treat the cause of my patients symptoms with sensitivity and give an honest account of these to my patients. My family is my main interest, but I relish travel, literature, the theatre, watching cricket and conversation.
