Are you considering breast surgery ?
Wondering about cup sizes, volumes and shapes?
What if you could see yourself with any changes before they actually happen?
You can see what you new breasts could look like, before actually going for the procedure
Now you can, with 3D virtual reality breast technology at Spire Cheshire Hospital
A new and exciting technology has arrived to help you visualise your post operative results in reconstructive and cosmetic breast surgery
Having a breast enlargement or a breast reconstruction is a big decision and part of that decision is what size implant to choose.
Now with 3D scanning software on handheld devices coupled with virtual reality goggles you can virtually try on different implant sizes and really experience what you will look like with that size implant.
Virtual reality technology allows you to see several views as if looking in a mirror, and best of all, you look down and see what your real view of your new breasts will be like!
Mr Gerard Lambe, Consultant Cosmetic Surgeon at Spire Cheshire Hospital now offers the Crisalix 3D simulations with an innovative mobile sensor for breast augmentation.
Anyone interested in breast augmentation can see what their new breasts could look like, before actually going for the procedure.
How it works:
The consultant will scan your body with an iPad with a special sensor and in just one click your own body will appear in 3D. Then the consultant simulates the surgical procedure with the actual implants that will be used and then you will be able to see how the shape and size will look on your own body.
You will see a “before and after” image, which helps to get a good idea of what a certain volume will do to your body. The consultant can also show you the difference between round and anatomical (tear drop shaped) implants.
After the consultation you will receive an email with a link. With this link, you can again look at the 3D image at home, from the pc, laptop or directly on the smartphone, and share it with your partner or close friends.
Mr Lambe said "Patients really enjoy looking at the images from home; this offers them the possibily to see the images again in a relaxed environment, think about it thoroughly and share it with people they trust before making a considered informed decision".
