I graduated from Bristol University in 1999 with a medical degree and an intercalated BSc(Hons) degree in Cellular and Molecular Pathology. I then completed my basic and higher surgical training rotations exclusively in Wales. During this time I also obtained an MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering from Cardiff University.
I was fortunate enough to be appointed to the highly competitive post of Cavendish Hip Fellow in Sheffield for a year in 2010, where I developed an interest in the management of the infected arthroplasty. I then returned to Cardiff to complete my fellowship training as the Cardiff Arthroplasty Fellow in 2011.
I was appointed as a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil, in 2012, and am an active member of the British Hip Society and ATLS Instructor Faculty.
