Mr Muhammad Imran Bhatti is a gold-medallist graduate from the Punjab University (Rawalpindi Medical School, 1995). He completed his neurosurgical training in Pakistan, before coming over to the UK in 2001. He spent most of his time in the Northwest to further his skills. Having obtained his Neurosurgery Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (2006) and completing his research degree (2008), he undertook complex spine fellowships at Manchester and Middlesbrough. Mr Bhatti is also a fellowship trained paediatric neurosurgeon. He completed one year’s fellowship at the Alderhey Children’s Hospital Liverpool, before joining as Consultant at the University Hospital Wales, Cardiff in 2013. His specialist interests include management of adult and paediatric spinal conditions. In addition to his spinal interests, he is fully trained and very experienced in surgery for brain tumours, adult and paediatric hydrocephalus, as well as head injury and general Neurosurgery.
