I hail from Bangalore in the Southern part of India. I arrived in the UK after gaining considerable experience as a general Ophthalmologist both in India and the Middle East.

I am one of a small number of experts to offer temporal corneal phacoemulsification and specialised procedures to treat glaucoma including lasers and enhanced trabeculectomy. My main interests are cataract and glaucoma.

I was appointed consultant at Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust last March and shares my duties between University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff and Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend.

My postgraduate MS qualification is from a reputed national institute in Chandigarh, Punjab. This enabled me to undertake the extremely competitive SpR training in the UK. I trained in Nottingham Queens Medical Centre and Birmingham Midland Eye Centre as a specialist registrar and completed my training with a highly regarded glaucoma fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.

My research interest is improving glaucoma care in the community.
