After qualifying in 2001 I started my surgical training in Wales during which I was awarded the Gwilym Griffith Travelling Fellowship, this enabled me to visit the Cancer Institute Hospital in Tokyo where I learnt the principles of Laparoscopic gastric surgery.
Upon completing my training I went on to hold the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS) fellowship.
As well as a broad experience in general and emergency surgery, I offer specialist care for patients requiring Laparoscopic Bariatric (Weight Loss) surgery, Laparoscopic Anti-Reflux and Hiatus Hernia Surgery, Laparoscopic Gall Bladder Surgery and Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery.
I currently hold a consultant post in Morriston Hospital, the only hospital in Wales commissioned by the Welsh Government to deliver Bariatric Surgery on the NHS
I specialise in laparoscopic Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery with specific interest in anti-reflux and Hiatus Hernia surgery, Laparoscopic Gall Bladder Surgery and Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery.
