I graduated from Cambridge University and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ School of Medicine and then undertook general medicine training in London, Worthing and Oxford. I subsequently specialised in Immunology at University Hospital of Wales, and am on the GMC Specialist Register (4719197).
In 2010, I was appointed as a Consultant Clinical Immunologist at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board who provide Allergy and Immunology clinics for patients across South Wales. I have an MSc in Medical Immunology, and an MD in Immunology research. My research interests include the use of microarray technology to improve the diagnosis of immunodeficiencies and allergies. I have presented at numerous meetings; local, national and international.
I am involved in representing my speciality at a national level. My roles include chairing the Immunology Specialist Advisory Group reporting to the Welsh Government, organising the national training days for doctors specialising in Immunology across the UK and I am the lead writer of the Clinical Immunology curriculum for medical students across Wales.
I am pleased to offer a comprehensive service for the diagnosis and management of Allergic and Immunological conditions at Spire Cardiff Hospital.
