Dr Kadambande started her career in medicine in 1987 in Mumbai,India. She has worked in Tata memorial cancer institute as an anaesthetist and as a lecturer in Grant medical college before commencing her higher specialist training in UK.
She was one of the first trainee from wales to undertake the advanced pain medicine training and has been awarded the FFPMRCA. She is a fellow of the Royal college of anaesthetists and a member of the faculty of pain medicine and British pain society. She also features on the specialist register of the GMC.
She has been working as a consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain medicine at the university hospital of wales since 2010.
She is competent in dealing with a wide range of chronic pain conditions like back pain, post- surgical pain, CRPS Complex regional pain syndrome, Neuropathic pain etc
She can offer medication management and interventions like Acupuncture, spinal x-ray guided injections, nerve blocks, Ultrasound guided injections, epidurals and radiofrequency denervation for pain management.
She is actively involved in medical education and is the pain medicine educational supervisor at UHW.
She currently leads the only Qutenza treatment clinic in south wales. Other interests are developing patient information leaflets for various pain interventions.
