Dr. Benny Thomas is Consultant in Clinical Neurophysiology and Honorary Clinical Tutor at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, practising also at the Princess of Wales Hospital, in Bridgend.
He graduated from the Royal Free Hospital in London in 1987 and subsequently specialized in Clinical Neurophysiology in Cardiff.
Benny has a wide range of experience in the diagnosis of nerve and muscle disorders and carries out diagnostic tests Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies for the evaluation of neuromuscular disorders like carpal tunnel syndrome, peripheral neuropathy and muscle disorders.
At the University Hospital another aspect of Dr Thomas's work is in the diagnostic evaluation of epilepsy with Electroencephalogram (EEG). He is also part of the team that assesses patients for epilepsy surgery.
