I have practised as a consultant gastroenterologist in Cardiff since 1995, having studied medicine initially at Queens’ College Cambridge, and then clinical training in Oxford, qualifying in 1983. I have a major interest in inflamatory bowel disease and I run a large inflammatory bowel disease clinic at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. I also run a home parenteral nutrition clinic, lead the Cardiff Intestinal Failure Service. I am a bowel screening accredited colonoscopist, and do the full range of lower and upper GI endoscopy. I am clinical director for Gastroenterology at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
