Spire Cardiff Hospital – ward refurbishment (January 2024)
Spire Cardiff Hospital will begin a refurbishment programme on ward 1 which is located on the ground floor of the hospital. The hospital may be a little noisier than usual and we apologise in advance for any disruption or inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your patience during this period.
We're a 15-minute taxi ride from Cardiff Central railway station.
The hospital is well signposted and situated opposite Waitrose. We are only a 5 minute drive from the M4 motorway (Junction 30) and a 20 minute drive from Cardiff City Centre.

How to get here
By road from the east
Exit the M4 motorway at Junction 29 and continue along the A48(M). Exit the A48 at the Pentwyn junction and take the last exit off the roundabout signposted 'hospital'. Continue along this road until reaching the first mini-roundabout, where you should continue straight ahead. At the second mini roundabout, take the third exit off the roundabout and turn immediately left into the hospital.
By road from the west
Exit the M4 motorway at Junction 30 (Cardiff Gate) and take the third exit off the roundabout. Continue along the dual carriageway, and go straight across the first roundabout towards the A48. Turn right at the next roundabout onto the A48 towards Cardiff and take the next exit signposted 'Pentwyn'. Take the last exit from the roundabout signposted 'hospital'. Continue along this road until reaching a mini-roundabout. Take the third exit off the roundabout and turn immediately left into the hospital.
By rail
Cardiff Central railway station is a 15-minute taxi ride from the hospital.
By bus
The following buses run every 10 minutes from Cardiff Central station, stopping at Croescadarn Road: 57 and 58.
Parking
Free parking is available at Spire Cardiff for both our patients and their visitors.
