The worst part about being ill or injured is not knowing what’s wrong and how quickly you’ll be able to return to the activities you enjoy. Spire Cardiff Hospital can provide rapid access to state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging for all private and insured patients. Whether your clinician believes an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CT (computerised tomography), X-ray or ultrasound would be most appropriate to support diagnosis – patients from all over Wales are able to take advantage of highly sophisticated technology within a comprehensive hospital setting.
Our Radiology Department is staffed by highly experienced professionals who will provide you with a quality, efficient and caring service. The information below tells you about some of the examinations we can provide for you and your family. It also explains how to access our service and receive your consultant report.
Accessing our diagnostic imaging services
We require a signed referral usually from your consultant, physiotherapists, chiropractors or osteopath etc. This can be posted or faxed to the radiology department, who will then contact you directly to arrange a mutually convenient time for you to attend.
Self-funding & insured patients
At Spire Cardiff Hospital you can be treated even if you don’t have private medical insurance. With a fixed price agreed in advance you can pay for one-off private treatment when you need it.
