More about Dr Tm Kinnaird
After medical school in Cardiff, Dr Kinnaird entered specialist cardiology training in London in 1996. During his training he took a year out to specialise in Echocardiography in Vancover Canada.
Dr Kinnaird also spent time at The Washington Hospital Centre, United States, training in coronary angioplasty. During this period he studied the use of stem cells for the treatment of angina and heart failure. Dr Kinnaird has a special interest in complex angiography and angioplasty, most of which he performs from the wrist.
Dr Kinnaird is also interested in the clinical applications of novel angina treatments such as gene therapy and stem cells.
Dr Kinnaird's current post is Director Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Lead Coronary Interventionalist at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
