At Spire Cardiff Hospital our nurse lead Prostate Cancer Screening Clinic (PCA3) offers patients who have an enlarged prostate a consultation with a specialist urology nurse.
Cardiff's Premier Private Hospital - here for all your needs!
The screening test
The test involves examination of the prostate and collection of sample of urine, which is taken for testing for the PCA3 gene.
Accessing this clinic couldn't be easier; your GP will assess your clinical need to be referred to a consultant urologist who may then recommend this test based on your symptoms. However, we aim to ensure all our patients are looked after by a consultant of their choice for the duration of their treatment.
At Spire Cardiff Hospital our consultants are continuously updating their skills and surgical techniques to ensure we deliver the optimum care to our patients in the safety of a clean comprehensive hospital setting. All our staff appreciate the importance of customer care and aim to work flexibly to enable you to choose appointments and procedure dates to suit your life style.
