    Professional profile:
    I graduated in Venezuela in 1975 and became a consultant lecturer in 1981. Having completed my PhD I have worked in transplantation and general surgery in Cambridge. I am currently working as a consultant transplant and hepatobiliary surgeon at the University Hospital of Wales Cardiff.
    My surgical interests are hepatobiliary and laparoscopic surgery.
    Personal profile:
    I enjoy music and play several instruments. I am also a keen cyclist.
