Background Information

Professional profile:

I trained in Bristol, Manchester and London and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 1983.

Having done an Aesthetic Fellowship in London and Paris l passed my Intercollegiate Specialty Examination in Plastic Surgery FRCS(Plast). During my training l was awarded a Travelling Fellowship and the John Barron Prize for a Video of a technique of scar management. l gained my Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training CCST in 1993.

I was appointed as a Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the South Wales Regional Burns and Plastic Surgery Unit the same year. I specialize in Breast Surgery including Post Mastectomy Reconstruction using the latest minimal scar and micro surgical techniques. I have carried out over 1000 breast augmentation operations. I also specialise in Facial Surgery for facial palsy including eyelid, ear and nose surgery. I sit on the Council of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons in London and am the Regional Speciality Professional Advisor representing Wales.
