Background Information
Professional profile:
My main special interest is Cosmetic Rhinoplasty. I perform 75 - 80 rhinoplasties a year utilizing both open and closed techniques, using my own personal sets of specialist rhinoplasty instruments. I also perform many operations for nasal obstruction and sinusitis.

Rhinoplasty surgery often involves structures that govern airflow through the nose, and these must be considered in all cases. My training in ENT surgery, dealing with nasal obstruction and sinusitis, complements the skill and understanding that I have gained in cosmetic nasal surgery and I utilize a combination of aesthetic techniques to modify the appearance and ENT techniques to build support and improve airflow.

In addition to maintaining airflow and support I believe it is of paramount importance that the nose should look natural after rhinoplasty surgery.

I specialize also, in surgery for prominent ears and have performed over 250 operations for this condition.

I am an Ear Nose & Throat surgeon with 19 years experience of working in the ENT speciality. I am happy to deal with any problems arising in the ears nose and throat, or neighbouring structures.

I trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital and have an ongoing interest in Paediatric ENT. I also run a voice clinic using specialist examination techniques such as laryngeal stroboscopy, and I am the official voice specialist for the Cardiff Singer of the World Competition.

I studied medicine in Cardiff. After general training in Wales I moved to London for my specialist ENT training working at the following hospitals:-

= The Royal National, Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital
= St Bartholomews Hospital
= Whipps Cross Hospital
= Hackney Childrens' Hospital
= The National Hospital for Neurosurgery, Queen Square
= Research at University of California, San Francisco.
Personal profile:
I come from West Wales, and am married with three children. I have a keen interest in classical music and play the cello. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, travelling, skiing and occasionally playing golf.
